Best Ever

This post is a post I have wanted to do since I started this blog and I wanted to dedicate it to Walter Payton the greatest running back and football player to ever play the game. Many people may disagree and thats fine cause they you're just wrong.

I never got to see Payton play with my own eyes but I have watched many highlights and games on tape and I wish I could go back in time and see him play live. Walter was the greatest ever so thanks Walter for all the great moments and highlights that you gave us.

The Packers Lose!!!

I know this isn't about the bears directly but the PACKERS LOST!!! I don't hate the packers I just really really dislike them especially when they play Da Bears. I have to say I was cheering for the Pack to lose but more so that it would just be a good entertaining game like the 49ers and the Saints, which might be one of the best playoff games I have ever seen.

But was it me or did the Packers look like they didn't even plan for the game? Or did the Giants just play and game plan that good?

The Packers looked like absolute garbage, they couldn't catch the ball, Rodgers couldn't throw the ball, they couldn't stop turning the ball over, and the defense did nothing. Now I know their defense sucks but put some pressure on Manning it cant be that hard, oh and did I mention that someone should teach those awesome wideouts hot to CATCH THE BALL!!!

I could rant on and on about how bad the Packers played because thats the reason I feel that the Packers lost, they beat themselves. I don't mean to discredit the Giants especially because I had picked the Giants to win the game but the Packers did everything wrong in my mind and I just want to know what people think about that game.

Did the Pack just beat themselves? Or did the Giants just make the Packers look that bad?

Why We Shouldn't be Happy Martz is Gone

The fact is in his 2 years as Offensive Coordinator Da Bears were 18 -13. Last year Da Bears went to the NFC Championship game and this year theres not a doubt in my mind that they would not of made the playoffs if Jay Cutler did not get hurt and if Hanie wasn't useless.

Jay cutler was having a career year with a bunch of number 3 wide receivers that should be in area football (Roy Williams im talking to you brother) and no offensive line to speak of.

So they start losing after jay goes down amd that means martz has to go. Well now Jay ya gotta learn another playbook, 3rd one with the bears a long with your slow learning receiving core thats not good.

I know martz did not run the ball as much as he should have but this is a PASSING LEAGUE!!! Three quarterbacks passed for over 5000 yards and they all made the playoffs. If we want to keep up with the lions and the cheese heads get some offensive linemen, a couple good big wideouts, and throw that football around! Martz could of done that with the right people, so dont be so happy hes gone.

Who is Tim Ruskell?

Have you ever herd of this man? Well I haven't and I think there's a reason for that and it might be the fact that he hasn't really done anything in his career. So I would assume according to the McCaskey family he would be  the perfect man for the new GM job.

After reading about Ruskells career, I came to the immediate conclusion that Da Bears will probably make him their new GM. And I'm asking nicely NO, DON'T DO IT PLEASE!!!

Ruskell has won a Superbowl with the Bucs in 2002 as the Director of Player Personnel, then he went on to lose in the Superbowl with the Seahawks as GM in the 2005-2006 season. He has drafted some pro bowlers but if you look at these pro bowlers most of them are from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Superbowl team.

The biggest problem with hiring Ruskell is the fact that he was hired by Jerry Angelo in Tampa Bay. That most likely means that he has the same philosophy and game plan as Jerry and no one wants that, that is why Jerry was let go.

If the McCaskeys are serious about making the fans happy don't hire this man, it would be like hiring Jerry Angelo all over again. The fans want someone who has drafted pro bowlers, they want someone who wants to win, they don't want someone who is going to say at the end of a losing season, "Oh well things just didn't go our way."

In order to make the fans happy the McCaskeys need to get someone from outside the organization, but if they hire from inside they will continue to be known as the cheapest and worst owners of the NFL.

Da Good Da Bad Da Bears

Since we are getting a new GM I figured I would show a short film on what we do not want our new GM to do. Enjoy!

Bears New Offensive Coordinator

Last week Da Bears announced that Mike Tice will be Da Bears new offensive coordinator. This move is not surprising, disappointing, or exciting in the least bit. The move is extremely bland, it doesn't make you upset but at the same time you ask why?

Tice knows very little about passing game, he's an offensive line coach and because of that the bears now have to hire a offensive passing coach. Why not just look for a while and find an offensive coordinator that has been successful in the passing game and running game?

Tice has never been an offensive coordinator but maybe it will work out, maybe Tice is exactly what Da Bears need. When Tice was head coach of the Minesota Vikings he had Randy Moss who for the first three seasons of his career had probowl stats. So maybe this means that Tice will push for Da Bears to finally get a true number one wide receiver that can help out Cutler.

Let's just hope for Da Bears and Lovies sake this works out because if it doesn't the fans are going to be very disappointed again and Lovie might be looking for a new job.

Question for Mr. McCaskey

"Under our organizational structure, ownership selects the president and CEO. The president and CEO, in consultation with ownership, selects the general manager. The general manager, in consultation with the president and ownership, selects the head coach."- George McCaskey.

So Mr. McCaskey let me get this straight when your organization hires a new GM that person is going to possibly hire a new head coach?
